What is the difference between Left Hand and Right Hand?

You will notice that you have the option to select “Left Hand” or “Right Hand” under the “Direction” selection above. Both versions have a sloped shape that is opposite of one another. The Left Hand has the slope on the left and the Right Hand has the slope on the right. When the grab bar is placed horizontally in the shower or bath, most people prefer that the higher side / sloped side of the bar is nearside to the shower/bath’s control wall. Additionally, when you put the bars on opposing facing walls and want the contour to follow the same way, you would choose a left hand and a right hand to match one another. You cannot simply flip them, unfortunately. There is no right or wrong choice here, it solely comes down to a matter of preference to where you want the sloped side of the bar to be.
